Why Paige exists
It started two days after we brought Paige home.
My wife and I were barely keeping our heads above water, trying to hold every feed, every nappy and every detail in our heads on no sleep. So I built a small app for the two of us. Very quickly, our household depended on it so I decided to make it available to other parents in the hope that it would help them too. Paige is named after my daughter, and it’s the thing that helped my family through the first few weeks.

Paige is end-to-end encrypted. That means everything you write is locked on your phone before it’s sent, so what sits on our server is a sealed box we have no key to. We can’t read it, and nor can anyone else.

One key per household
A single key locks and unlocks everything. It’s made on your phone and never leaves your devices. You never have to see it.
Adding the second parent
A phone that already has the key hands it to a new one, after you tap to approve. The code does nothing on its own.
Twelve recovery words
The only way back if you lose every device. Keep them somewhere safe.
If you lose every device and haven’t saved your recovery words, your data is gone. There’s no email reset, because there’s no account for us to reset, and we can't access your data even if we wanted to (which we don't). So it's very important to save those recovery words somewhere safe.
